Hello there! I'm, obviously, Jane - a photographer by trade, and a visual arts lover by heart. While photography is my favorite service to offer to the world, I also enjoy crafting here and there when I can. I thoroughly enjoyed dabbling in all sorts of other mediums while attending Virginia Commonwealth University, including glass kiln working, clay throwing, and wood shop working.
I graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts for Photography/Film, doing the whole four-year-college-after-high-school gig. After working at a Richmond-based photography studio for two years, I moved back up to northern Virginia to interview for and accept a job as a product photographer. As a numismatic photographer, I learned about more than just photographing coins - but also about the rise and fall of nations, the literal value of currency, and how to properly handle 200+ year old treasures.
The indescribable magic of human form and human interaction continues to captivate me and encourage me to keep documenting these memories. So I left the product photography position after nearly seven years to continue to care for my own photography, and to tend to my other life goals.
My resume is available, as are some reviews of my work, and some samples of where my work has been utilized. I also love seeing my work utilized on your holiday cards and announcements (feel free to mail one to the address below)! I'd also be happy to meet up and discuss what magic I could capture - just let me know here!
